Second generation ESU 251-C modular unit, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Inspired by industrial warehouse shelving, this original ESU features colorful, lacquered masonite panels and zinc-plated steel uprights and crossed support struts. Storage unit has a pretty walnut top that contrasts nicely with birch interior shelves. A highly collectible and important example of a groundbreaking design, in all original condition. Early 1950s.
