Complete Set of Flair Magazines 1950-1951
A complete set—12 issues, February 1950 through January 1951—of Flair magazine. Flair's inventive graphic design, visual playfulness (die-cut covers, intricate foldouts, bound-in booklets and inserts), and its roster of artistic, literary, and cultural lights (contributors included Saul Steinberg, Salvador Dalí, W.H. Auden, Jean Cocteau, Tennessee
Williams, Gloria Swanson, John O'Hara, Eleanor Roosevelt, Bernard Baruch, Gypsy Rose Lee, and Lucien Freud) created a legend. Established by Fleur Fenton Cowles, the magazine was short-lived due to the high costs of its intricate designs. (Original price: 50¢)
The set is intact and in very good condition, except for some wear and chips to the spines.
