La Fonda Padded Armchair by Charles and Ray Eames
1960s black, padded naugahyde armchair on gray, powder-coated aluminum pedestal base by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This chair was originally designed for the interior of New York's La Fonda Del Sol restaurant in 1961. Mindful of the guests who would dine there, this low-back rounded chair is designed to provide ample comfort and support. Our chair is in very good vintage condition, with no blemishes or tears in the naugahyde and makes for a perfect office or desk chair. The parchment armchair shell is creamy in hue and retains the distinct fiberglass thread. Pedestal base has some age-appropriate wear. Shell is marked with the Herman Miller stamp.
