Erno Fabry Nesting Tables
Scarce 1950s Nesting Tables by architect and designer Erno Fabry. Apprentice to industrial modern designer Norman Bel Geddes, Fabrys own method evolved by coupling European materiality and Bauhausian clarity. His design approach can be seen in the clean lines of these elegant nesting tables. Brilliant exotic wood-inlay design employs the contrasting grain to form an abstract collage. The lacquered wood sits on gracefully trim, brass legs. Tables are in very good vintage condition. Age-appropriate wear to table surfaces and minor oxidation to brass legs. Made in Sweden, Unmarked. Reference: Rago Auction, modern sale March 3, 2013.
